What is Automated collection?
Automated collection refers to the type of trash collection Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services,  uses in certain cities in the Coachella Valley and High Desert. Through the use of a mechanical arm, a driver collects trash in a safe and very efficient manner. Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services,  offers automated trash collection in Cathedral City, Coachella, La Quinta , Palm Desert, Twentynine Palms, and Yucca Valley. 


What is Household Hazardous Waste?Certain materials are classified as hazardous waste. These include materials such as motor oil, oil filters, paint, pesticides, household chemicals, and fertilizer. These materials are extremely dangerous to the environment and cannot be placed in your regular trash receptacles. What should I do with my Christmas tree?
After the holidays, Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services, will pick up your Christmas tree by your trash cans. Simply cut the tree into four-foot lengths for disposal. We will then transport the tree to an approved green waste facility to be made into compost.


What should I do with used phone book?
When new phone books are distributed, special bins are placed at city halls throughout the Coachella Valley. You may also put your used phone book into your regular recycling bin for pick-up.


What may I put in my green waste?
You may place grass clippings, tree trimmings, leaves, shrub trimmings, weeds, twigs and small branches. Please do not put large branches inside the can.
Is there a place for me to dispose of my green waste?
Yes. Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services, accepts green waste at our facility in Palm Desert. If you are a resident of the cities we serve, you can bring your green waste to us and dump it for free. All we require is two forms of identification. You can bring your green waste to:
